A competition worth more than revenge.

You can read this book several times and still learn.

The only complete course of SPC that I knowThe reviewed book is the only one I know that gives a full explanation of both the practice and the theory of statistical process control (SPC) - the way to understand variation. As a manager and TQM coach I fully recommend the book to managers and management students, as a mathematician I recommend it to students and researchers in statistics.
Readers without mathematical background should not be scared by many mathematical formulas in the book that explain why SPC works. They may very well skip the reading of equations without any loss in understanding of how SPC works and how to use it in practice.
In my opinion the book of James R. Thompson and Jacek Koronacki should be regarded as a must for any business school library and the bookshelf of any manager.

Beautiful 2The reason for these new boats is also explained and included is partially the reason why... The famous 1988 rogue challenge by New Zealand businessman, Michael Fay and his massive white monoloth, KZ1. Dennis Connor rose to the challenge with his famous hi-tech multihull, Stars And Stripes and the lawyers took over from there.
The 1992 event was the most lavish ever has money ruled the waves and the more boats one had the better chances of winning would be.
Eventually comonsense prevailed and the two boat rule introduced, and we are left with the event we have today.

Always Popular...againTim Thompson's beautifull illustrations are on display and each Americas Cup Challenge is represented and explained by Ranulf Rayner.
This famous coffee table book is always looked foward to by Americas Cup enthusists such as myself. Bring on the next one.

Always PopularThis edition is famous for the fact that New Zealand finally grabbed the Americas Cup.
The same as all the previous editions, beautifully illustrated by the artwork of Tim Thompson, Rayner has of course added extra chapters to cover the 1995 challange and the potential new venue.
Only one drawback is the error of the course maps but still a great coffee table read.

Most useful book I've ever hadI studied it while I was in university and decided to keep it...that was a great idea since I landed in a job at a Corporation where I had to do presentations about strategy, due diligences, and participate & implement organizational changes. The Director of my department said that my work had the level of an MBA graduate (even though I did not had an MBA, I was just using this book) and gave me a promotion.
After five years of work I did start to do my MBA and did not find a better book about strategy implementation than this one. Unfortunately, there was a flood in my city and the book was wasted and I am seeking to buy a new one.

This book is very informative and easy to read.

A brilliant, classic science fiction love story.Whether you are male or female, young or old, the book will find a way to touch you. The book isn't very long and can be read on a rainy afternoon. Let it seduce you and make you dream of outer space...
A crow in a hat. Invisible coffee. A flute. Black and white. No words. Plenty of comedy. Plenty of akwardness. A reflection of pure human truth.
Long moments of meloncholy and desperation sprinkled with just enough happiness to make it special. A crow you will feel for.
Seriously.
